Founder of the luxury hotel group “La Réserve” (Paris, Geneva…), Michel Reybier, sought to bring the rhythm, energy, and charm of the French Riviera into the hotel’s previously sober and chic décor. A burst of life and personality by the renowned architect, Jacques Garcia, who pays tribute to the golden age of decorative arts of the 1950s and ’60s. “A declaration of love to hedonism and the lightness of happy days, in the magical light of the Saint-Tropez peninsula”, he delights in recalling. “Where artists and writers, from Cocteau to Picasso, came to recharge”.
This transformation is reflected in the rooms and suites where the decorative painter, Delphine Neny (Best Craftsman of France), created hand-painted frescoes: romanticized scenes of Provençal coastal life. Bold and cheerful prints harmonize with the beige tones and wooden furniture. In terms of color, blue prevails, as do the yellow of Provençal lemons and the vivid orange of the southern sun.
Culinary journey. At the restaurant “La Voile”, it’s all about flavors of the sea, the pure taste of ingredients elevated by olive oil, condiments, and fragrant herbs. On the plate: a “surf and turf” fusion. From the delight of Bresse chicken and lobster to the indulgent, melting sensation of crab as a starter — a true treat! For a nostalgic sweet finish, the chocolate dessert is prepared tableside on a trolley, celebrating the journey of cocoa beans to our plate in a lightly sweetened version of timeless pleasure.
